A new report from the U.S. Department of Labor says pizza delivery workers have an average annual salary of $27,000, which is below the national average.
The report found that the median household income in 2016 was $52,902.
The median wage for pizza delivery men was $28.49 per hour.
Thats up from the national median wage of $29.50 per hour in 2016, according to the report.
The new report also found that nearly one in three delivery men were working full time, and nearly a third of delivery men worked at least one hour per day.
The U.N. says this is the lowest level of working hours for delivery workers in nearly 50 years.
The government says the lowest number of hours worked per year since World War II has been at the same time.
Domino and Papa Johns’ pizza menu items were released today and were highlighted as some of the best in the country.
A number of other items have also been included in the report: the “Merry Christmas” and “Happy Birthday” pizza selections, and the “Happy Hour” menu, with special discounts.
Dominos and Papa Joes are also offering their employees up to 10% on pizza and delivery in exchange for the loyalty of a customer.
It also includes a special pizza-delivery “happy hour” on Thanksgiving Day.
The company also released a statement today saying that it will continue to invest in its workforce and grow its operations.
Domains and PapaJohns will be providing additional incentives to employees who earn $100,000 or more per year and will provide an additional 10% discount on pizza.
For example, the company will offer employees up $1,000 bonuses for the first $10,000 of annual salary and up to $2,500 bonuses for those who earn more than $50,000.
A Domino spokesperson said the company would not comment on specific incentives but that it was “working to create an inclusive and diverse workforce in our delivery workforce.”
