A few weeks ago, I went out to a restaurant that served vegan pizza.
I had a couple friends and I decided to try it.
I was amazed at how it tasted.
The toppings were the best.
I can’t wait to try the pizza again.
But first, I wanted to know how the vegan pizzas were made.
So I decided I would make my own pizza.
I knew there were a few options on the market, but I decided on a simple vegan pizza with a vegan cheese.
It’s a simple recipe that you can use in almost any pizza.
The cheese is all natural, which is why I thought it would be a good alternative to traditional vegan cheese on the menu.
The ingredients I used were: 3-4 ounces of vegan cheese (I used Daiya Organic Vegan Cheese) 2 tablespoons of nutritional yeast (I use Soy Lecithin, but you can also use regular yeast) 1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon onion powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast or 2 tablespoons dried yeast (you can use plain yeast) For the crust: 1 cup of sour cream (I went with vegan sour cream) 1 cup of flour 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or a blend of cheese and mozz) 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/3 teaspoon pepper 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg 1/32 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon vegan margarine (optional) If you are not vegan, you can add your own toppings.
I used mozzarellis (Italian sausage) and fresh herbs (cilantro and parsley).
I also used some leftover vegan pizza dough.
Make sure to use a vegan crust and cheese, as the cheese can be a little too salty.
You can also add extra toppings if you like.
For example, if you want a vegan version of the classic vegan lasagna, you could add spinach, basil, or other veggies.
For a slightly healthier version, you may want to add a little extra flour.
Cut your vegan cheese into slices.
(I made mine small.)
I also sliced my vegan sourcream into strips.
(My sour cream had a bit of a crumb on it.)
I like to add some of my leftover vegan cheese to the cheese and flour mix before adding the rest of the ingredients.
I made mine by cutting strips into 2-inch slices, but feel free to slice it up if you prefer.
Slice your vegan sourcupesan into 1-inch pieces.
(This recipe made enough for 4 people.)
I made my vegan cheese using Daiya organic vegan cheese, but it is also vegan sour-cream.
Daiya has a line of vegan sour creams.
Daiy has a number of vegan vegan cheese alternatives, but they do not have the same nutritional value.
Once you have your vegan cheeses, you will need to make your crust.
I mixed together the dry ingredients in a bowl, then added the sour cream, flour, and cheese.
I then mixed in the vegan sour Cream.
I started with a thick layer of dough, then rolled out the dough to a circle and cut it into 1 inch squares.
I placed the dough on my counter, then sprinkled a little flour over the top to form a smooth surface.
I then placed my cheese in the middle of the cheese.
Once I had the cheese on top, I rolled it out again and placed it over the dough.
Once the cheese was on top of the dough, I slid it into a loaf pan, then topped it with a layer of vegan breadcrumbs.
I then placed the cheesecake onto the bread crumbs.
I spread the vegan bread crumb mixture onto the top of my crust.
After the crust was baked, I sprinkled the topping on top.
After the pizza was baked and cooled, I sliced into 8-inch squares and placed the squares on a serving platter.
To serve, I topped each slice with some vegan cheese and a sprinkling of vegan crusty cheese.
This recipe is perfect for a group of 4, or you could even serve it for two people!
